  World Beat Music & Dance Ensemble performs all original music based on traditional rhythms and instruments from around the world. One moment you feel as though your  in the tranquil  jungles of South America, the next you are clapping your hands  to the pulsing  rhythms of Egypt. In addition to entertaining, World Beat also educates  and involve the entire audience regardless of age, gender or race. The ensemble�s primary focus is to promote the awareness of the world�s multicultural diversity and the idea that the arts are a universal language, part of every culture in the world.

  The group consists of Michael DiMartino and various artists of different disciplines. Their collective skills include African, Latin & Middle Eastern percussion, North, Central and South American wind instruments, keyboard and bass. They  also showcase a spectrum of ethnic dances mixed with creative movement, storytelling and visual aids.

  The ensemble has performed more than two hundred shows and workshops ranging from large festivals and Universities to International Conferences.Highlights include: an invitational performance at the White House in Washington D.C.; the United Nations Earth Summit Conference in Rio de Janeiro; Brazil, the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago; Drumming in the New Millennium in Egypt; Gathering of the Vibes in Connecticut; and the Whole Life Expo in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. Mr. DiMartino was also chosen as an artist for the Governor�s Coalition on Arts in Education in Arizona.
